| Available Rottweiler Rescues Feature Dog for October "Reno" I fancy myself as a pretty good story teller most of the time, but because Reno has so much character, I think I'm going to step out of the way and let him tell you his own story. . . Hi there, my name is Reno. The reason I'm telling you this story is because a place called Southern States Rescued Rottweilers found me in a homeless shelter in South Carolina. I sure didn't like that place much, so I was really happy and grateful when they busted me out! All the ladies at SSRR have been so nice to me. They put me in all different kinds of cars and drove me all over, which I have to admit was a little bit scary, but that's how I ended up here in Louisiana at a nice foster home. I can't remember my birthday, but my foster mom thinks I might be between 2 & 3 years old. One thing I know for sure is that I'm ALL boy (although I really can't get lucky with the ladies anymore, if you know what I mean ;0) I have a ton of energy because I'm a pretty young guy, and where I live right now is a super great place and my foster mom loves me lots, but she's also super busy. You see there are 4 other dogs that live here too. 2 of them are Rottweiler boys just like me, 1 is a Rottweiler girl, and the other is a girl who looks a little bit like me, but she's a Doberman -- we all get along and play really good together! My foster mom says that I'm a real bundle of energy (well, what teenager isn't right?) and that I need a forever home that likes to stay active and do all kinds of fun stuff like walking and hiking, and. . . .well, ball throwing is pretty much the bomb :0) She also says that I need a forever home with someone who's experienced with Rottweilers. She says I'm not a bad boy at all, I'm just young and rambunctious. I think I heard her saying that my first human parents probably didn't do a good job of teaching how to be a perfect gentlemen. My foster mom also says that I'm one of the sweetest boys she's ever known. That's probably because the first time I met her, I jumped right into her arms! Te he he, I don't know how much I weigh, I just get really excited and LOVE to meet new people. . . The good news is that I'm super smart and love learning new things. . . Sooooo, if you you'd be willing to teach me gentlemanly manners, I would be more than willing to learn. . . . Ok, now nobody's completely perfect right? I really love people and other dogs, but those furry little things you guy's call C A T S -- Hmmm, I don't like them so much! The lady who owns this website thinks that I'm a lot like her Rottie named Chevy, who also likes to chase those little furry things because we never got to meet any of them and become friends when we were really young. I'm also a really good high-jumper -- Te he he, I've been known to easily jump over a 4 foot fence. I thought it was pretty cool that I could do that, but my foster mom said it might be cool, but it's not safe for me, so that's why I need at least a 6 foot fenced yard. I know that's kind of a bummer, but I'm sure hoping there's a forever home out for me that would rather have the coolest dog in the world to go everywhere with them and give super big hugs and kisses and even snuggle with. I'm pretty sure that if I had a family of my own to love and love me back, I wouldn't wanna go anywhere for the rest of my life. Could I maybe be the guy for you? At the risk of tooting my own horn, I really am a super sweet boy, I don't have a mean bone in my body and while I really love my foster family, I really want and need a family to call my very own. If you'd like to meet me and find out more about me, you can get a hold of my foster mom by sending her an email to rmandery00@aol.com |
