Free Rottweiler Puppies
It can be very difficult to find free Rottweiler puppies, but that doesn't mean it isn't doable. There are thousands of pets that end up in shelters and rescues every year, and the last dogs to get adopted are usually black. So that means the best way to start looking is with Rottweiler Rescue. Rescue organizations don't usually get as many puppies in as they do adolescents and adults, but it's definitely worth your time to check.
If you really have your heart set on a young Rottweiler puppy and you're unwilling or unable to buy one from a reputable Rottweiler breeder, then I suggest the following:
- Contact a Rottweiler Rescue group in your area and let them know what you're looking for. They might be able to put you on a waiting list, or refer you somewhere else
- Check your local shelters - often time people who don't care about their dog to begin with will abandon her and her puppies. They then end up in a shelter or the pound
- Keep in mind that if you're unable or unwilling to spend money to purchase your puppy, you may not have the funds available to care for your Rottweiler as they will grow up to be a big dog
- Also keep in mind that free Rottweiler puppies may end up costing you more in the long run
What do I mean by costing you more in the long run? What I mean by that statement is that it's not only difficult to find free Rottweiler puppies, it can also be dangerous and costly as the puppy you find will likely be from a back-yard breeder of sorts.
In this context, when I say BYB (back-yard breeder) I mean someone who has bred their dog either intentionally or accidentally and neither parent has been tested for temperament or health conditions such as Hip Dysplasia, etc.
If you end up with a puppy that has Rottweiler Health Problems, you'll need to be prepared to spend money and time dealing with them.
Also, regardless of your Rottweiler puppies bloodlines, you'll need to be prepared to train her. You can read more about that on my Rottweiler Training page.
Is a Rottweiler the right dog for you?In my opinion Rotties are absolutely awesome, which you can see on my Stories about Rottweiler Dogs page, and they're very unique. The fact that they are so unique is why they are not for everyone.
I invite you to explore my site, gather facts and information, read the stories, look at fantastic Rottweiler Pictures, and make sure the Rottie is the right dog for you.
If you can't find something in particular that you're looking for, please feel free to contact me and I will help in any way I can.
